How It All Started . .with a box

 

Let me take you back to December 16th, 2023...

 

I was having one of those days — you know, the kind where all you want to do is curl up in bed and hide from the world?

​

It was late, I’d had two glasses of wine (no regrets), and I went to close the window in my tiny bathroom — the kind where you have to reach through a shelf above the toilet to get to it.

On the way back through, I knocked the shelf just enough to send my tiny box of tampons flying.

 

Cue the meltdown.

​

I stared at the mess and yelled at the “stupid things” we have to have as women.

In a full-blown rage, I picked up every fiddly tampon, jammed them back into the tiny box, ripped the lid off a larger box, shoved the tiny box into it, and muttered out loud:

"There! Can't move now, can you!?" 

​

Yes, I actually said that. Alone. Out loud. 

​

The next morning, I looked at my Frankenstein box setup and thought,

“Hmm... there’s room for liners in there too.”

They fit.

But they weren’t easy to grab.

So, I made some changes.

Problem solved. Or so I thought...

​

Over the next few months, that little DIY box sat there — and the more

I used it, the more I realised...

“This is actually kinda genius.”

I started researching what already existed for period storage.

​

That’s when I saw IT.

 

A product called ‘Shark Week’ storage.

​

Excuse me, WHAT!?

​

Periods are already annoying, inconvenient, and emotional.

We don’t need gimmicks that make us feel worse.

​

Girls deserve so much better!

​

That moment lit a fire in me.

 

I picked up a pencil, sketched the first design, and decided:

It’s time for a bloody change. 💪

 

I started researching, surveying, designing — all funded out of my own pocket because I believe in this with everything I’ve got.

​

This wasn’t planned.

It wasn’t pretty.

But it’s real.

And it’s for you.

​
